JV Volleyball Update

by Chelsie Darrow

On Tuesday, September 30 the J.V ladycat volleyball team played Camden. The game was a double-header. The Ladycats failed to conquer the Camden Redskins, losing both games. Sophomore Ryann Rupp is already looking for revenge. “Volleyball is a mental sport and we are all insane! Tuesday nights performance was a bit off, when we play them again we will get them back!” said Rupp.

On Thursday, October 2 the Ladycats played the Waldron Spartans. It was a depressing match, concluding in 3 lost games for the Ladycats. Freshman Marrisa wasn’t the only one upset by the loss. “We did pretty bad, the coach was really upset, and I hope we never do it again.” The whole team will hopefully benefit and learn from the mistakes they made on Thursday night.

On Tuesday, October 6 the Ladycats defeated Bellevue in a very exciting game, winning all three games. The Ladycats made a complete turnaround from the depressing game played on the previous Thursday. Communication and focus were obviously a key component in the victory. “We worked as a team, we listened to each other, talked, and hit well,” said Reyome.
